Electrical Engineer I
Needham, MA - Onsite, 5 days/week

About the Role
We're looking for an Electrical Engineer I to support embedded electronic design across the full product development lifecycle - from concept through production. You'll work hands-on with hardware and firmware, partnering with global cross-functional teams to bring reliable, high-quality consumer products to market.
What You'll Do
  • Design and develop consumer electronic products from concept through production
  • Develop electrical specifications aligned to product and customer requirements
  • Review and develop schematics, BOMs, PCB layouts, and test plans
  • Build and execute electrical test plans to verify design functionality and performance
  • Support prototype bring-up and hardware verification during development builds
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues through testing, analysis, and root cause investigation
  • Run circuit analysis and simulation to support design and debug
  • Contribute to design reviews, driving improvements in performance and reliability
  • Partner with product development, quality, safety, and compliance teams to meet program objectives
  • Coordinate with global engineering teams to hit hardware milestones
  • Support compliance/certification testing, including EMI/EMC and electrical safety issue resolution
  • Build cost estimates from EBOMs and evaluate feature-to-cost tradeoffs

What You'll Bring
  • BS in Electrical Engineering
  • 0-2 years of embedded hardware development experience
  • Foundational circuit design skills: component selection, design, and analysis
  • Exposure to embedded firmware for microcontrollers (design, testing, debugging) and Arduino prototyping
  • Experience with schematic capture, BOM generation, and PCB layout for prototypes
  • Comfort working in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Nice to Have
  • MS in Electrical Engineering
  • Internship or co-op experience in embedded circuit design
  • SPICE simulation experience
  • C programming for embedded firmware

Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is displayed below. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Pay Range
$74,100-$108,000 USD
