Freese and Nichols is seeking an Electrical Designer in Fort Worth, Texas. As Electrical Designer, you will support the development of design drawings and technical deliverables for facility and infrastructure projects while working alongside engineers and project teams.
What You’ll Do- Develop drawings, plans, and design details for facility and infrastructure projects
- Perform CAD drafting and modeling to support electrical and general design documentation
- Assist in resolving technical challenges through analysis and coordination
- Check design computations and drawings for accuracy and completeness
- Support project cost estimating and maintain awareness of project budgets
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to align design criteria and project needs
- Prepare layouts, site plans, and detailed design documents
- Deliver quality work within defined scope, schedule, and budget
- High school diploma with CAD drafting coursework or equivalent
- 5+ years of CAD drafting experience
- 2+ years of design experience in a related engineering field
- Proficiency with Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) tools and systems
- Ability to apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in design work
- Associate degree in drafting, engineering technology, or related field
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
- Experience supporting facility or infrastructure design projects
- Ability to coordinate across disciplines and contribute to project delivery
- Ability to exercise independent judgment on assigned tasks
