Overview:
- Performs all roles in managing, automating and improving software deployments & system operations.
- Understands automation technology and how it is best applied to reach a continuous deployment, continuous automation goal.
- Builds automation scripts capable of operating solutions with minimal manual maintenance.
- Works effectivity in a global environment supporting mission critical solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the architecture for a multi-tenant, multi-application customer facing data platform that integrates data from many sources.
- Create & enforce security guidelines for data platform.
- Work with different teams to analyze how to integrate business data into one platform.
- Work with application teams to design specific applications that can leverage the data platform.
- Design APIs for the data platform to serve data to external/partner applications.
- Experience with scripting languages and using them in automation.
- Experience with automation/configuration management tools
- Experience building and maintaining production systems
- Experience with Monitoring tool sets and custom alerting, log analysis
- Experience with running front-end applications in production environment
- Experience with databases primarily MSSQL and MongoDB
- Knowledge about networking and security (TCP/IP, IPSec, TCP dump)
- Experience with container technologies
- Work with team contributing to design and architecture
- Understanding of source control systems like GitHub
- Conduct Performance Testing to ensure system reliability, capacity and scalability.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies including Scrum
- Collaborate with team members from Development, QA and Support
- Experience with Continuous Integration (Jenkins) and Continuous Delivery
- Ability to quickly triage problems, identify root causes, and drive issue resolution
Qualifications:
- Strong background in systems architecture, APIs & security
- Able to clearly articulate pros and cons of various technologies and platforms
- Able to apply knowledge of different big-data technologies to specific use cases 5+ years experience
- Experience building scalable production environments and automation
- Experience with common programming and scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python
- Critical Experience with Python, React, and Go. Creating APIs. Full stack development, Agile/Scrum, Front and Back end experience, Authentication protocols, security standards and best practices.
- Can work cross-functionally in a small agile team to move quickly towards development goals.
