Responsibilities:

  • Provide case management and employee support for active cases collaborating with our worker's compensation insurance program.
  • Develop and implement environmental, safety, and occupational health and wellness programs.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain programs/procedures to facilitate safe work environment.
  • Direct and train employees to follow environmental, health, safety, and security procedures.
  • Lead first responder program, employee Safety Committee and work with plant leadership to ensure OSHA compliance.
  • Lead and manage root cause investigations and analysis of findings for near misses and incidents.
  • Manage and file employee records related to environmental, safety, and occupational health.
  • Supervise on-site clinic Medical Providers and Athletic Trainers and analyze usage trends.
  • Plan and execute on-site employee health and wellness fair.
  • Coordinate facility-wide hazard recognition program.
  • Develop and distribute facility-wide safety toolbox talk training.
  • Lead and manage powered industrial truck training program.
  • Report on health and safety metrics and initiatives.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Occupational Safety and Health.
  • Two years’ experience in industrial safety.
  • Experience with Worker's compensation insurance programs.
  • Excellent problem solving and utilization of defined methodology.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to drive a culture of safety.
  • Able to work flexible hours and overtime.
  • Proven experience in a related position is required.
