Job Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced EHS Supervisor to lead and continuously improve our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) systems within an automotive production environment. The successful candidate will ensure full compliance with EU and local regulations, drive workplace safety culture, and support the organization's goal of achieving zero injuries and incidents.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and continuously improve Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs in alignment with company and Magna standards.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable EU and local EHS regulations and internal policies.
- Maintain and update EHS management systems, documentation, and procedures (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, and internal audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Lead incident investigations and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide EHS guidance, training, and support to employees and management teams.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness plans, response training, and safety drills.
- Oversee safe management and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
- Prepare and submit required EHS reports, permits, and compliance documentation.
- Promote a proactive safety culture focused on prevention, responsibility, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a health and safety, technical, environmental, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in EHS management within a manufacturing or engineering environment (automotive preferred).
- Strong knowledge of environmental, health, and safety legislation, regulations, and standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, QOS).
- Proven ability to identify risks, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
- Experience leading or supervising a team with a focus on performance and development.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in MS Office and comfortable learning new digital tools.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic production environment.
