EHS Specialist (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities:

  • Act as Occupational Safety Specialist (Sifa) in accordance with ASiG and DGUV Regulation 2
  • Take on the role of Fire Safety Officer
  • Advise and support all topics related to occupational safety, health protection, and accident prevention
  • Organize and follow up on ASA meetings, including documentation and action tracking
  • Coordinate mandatory occupational medical examinations in cooperation with the company doctor
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the EHS management system at our German sites (Osnabrück & Burg)
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance (e.g. ArbSchG, DGUV, environmental regulations) and liaise with authorities
  • Plan and conduct trainings and safety briefings to promote a strong safety culture
  • Perform risk assessments, audits, workplace inspections, and incident analyses
  • Coordination with the global EHS function of the company within a matrix organization to ensure that standards, policies, as well as EHS goals and initiatives, are implemented consistently across the entire company
  • Work closely with internal departments, authorities, trade associations, and external partners

Your Profile:

  • Degree in EHS, engineering, safety technology, or comparable technical qualification
  • Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (Sifa)
  • Fire safety qualification (Parts 1 & 2) or willingness to obtain
  • Several years of experience in EHS / occupational safety, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Solid knowledge of German safety regulations and standards
  • Experience working with regulatory authorities
  • German fluency required; basic to intermediate English is sufficient, provided there is a strong willingness to improve, as communication takes place also in English
  • Independent, structured working style with strong communication skills
  • Confident in using MS Office
  • Willingness to travel approx. 15-25% between Osnabrück and Burg
