About the department
The Production Engineering & Facilities (PE&F) Team at Novo Nordisk is in charge of production activities in a manufacturing environment, ensuring optimal resource utilization, cost minimization, and maintenance of quality standards. This department focuses on implementing and maintaining robust measures to uphold environmental sustainability, optimize health and safety practices, and secure the facilities and personnel. It plays a pivotal role in aligning the organization with regulatory standards, driving continuous improvement in EHS practices, and fostering a secure and compliant working environment within the KFA production facilities.
The position
As an EHS & Security Expert at Novo Nordisk, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Set qualitative and quantitative goals to influence the environmental strategy, collaborating with other departments across the organization.
  • Develop and update long-term plans for maintenance, modifications, replacements, and renovations to ensure a safe and sanitary working environment.
  • Introduce new technologies to improve energy savings and comply with internal and external regulations.
  • Manage projects, including resource allocation, budgeting, and timeline adherence.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, compliance, and EHS standards. Identify and eliminate dangerous points in the workplace through regular assessments and timely actions.


Qualifications

  • University graduate, preferably with a degree in engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in EHS.
  • Knowledge of Labor Safety Standards Act and ISO14001.
  • Fluency in Japanese and proficiency in English at a business level is essential.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
