Who are we looking for?We are seeking a dedicated and proven EHS Manager to join our dynamic team in Rock Hill, SC. This role is pivotal in driving our mission to achieve flawless safety standards and encouraging a positive safety culture.
What you get to do!- Develop a culture of safety and collaborate with the management team to embed safety principles into all operational activities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) for all operations and processes.
- Build and lead a comprehensive Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program, including machine-specific procedures, training protocols, and regular compliance auditing.
- Develop and maintain Emergency Action Plans for various scenarios (severe weather, fire, active shooter, etc.).
- Develop training materials and conduct monthly safety training sessions as required by regulations.
- Manage safety equipment inventory (first aid kits, spill kits, medical boxes, AEDs) ensuring all items remain accurately stocked and operational.
- Serve as the primary contact point for OSHA, city, state, and other regulatory entities for safety-related matters.
- Maintain OSHA 300 logs and ensure accurate, timely safety incident reporting.
- Conduct safety investigations for near misses, OSHA recordables, and safety improvement opportunities, including root cause analysis and corrective actions using lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Track and report plant-wide safety metrics and initiatives via visual management.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS regulations and company policies.
- Bachelor’s degree (STEM field preferred) or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 8 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
- Holding a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification or an equivalent professional credential is highly preferred.
- Experience with lean manufacturing/problem-solving strongly preferred.
- Experience with multi-site operations strongly preferred.
- Experience with aerospace manufacturing preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, and other applicable EHS standards. OSHA 511 certification is highly desirable.
- Must be able to travel between two sites as needed.
