Description

The Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager is responsible for leading and managing Parker Offshore’s environmental, health, safety, and regulatory compliance programs to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace. This role partners closely with operations, leadership, employees, and contractors to develop a strong safety culture, reduce risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across offshore and onshore operations.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • · Lead and administer Parker Offshore's Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, maritime, and regulatory requirements. 
  • · Promote and strengthen a proactive safety culture through leadership, training, employee engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • · Identify, assess, and mitigate workplace, operational, and environmental risks through inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and corrective actions. 
  • · Lead incident, injury, near-miss, and environmental event investigations, including root cause analysis, reporting, and implementation of preventive measures. 
  • · Develop, maintain, and oversee emergency preparedness, response, and business continuity programs. 
  • · Manage environmental compliance activities, including waste management, spill prevention, pollution control, hazardous materials handling, and environmental reporting. 
  • · Develop and deliver EH&S training programs, ensuring employees and contractors maintain required certifications, qualifications, and safe work practices. 
  • · Monitor safety and environmental performance metrics, prepare reports for leadership, and recommend strategies to improve operational performance and reduce risk. 
  • Partner with operations, management, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure consistent adherence to company standards and regulatory expectations.   
  • · Support organizational objectives by integrating safety, environmental stewardship, risk management, and regulatory compliance into all aspects of Parker Offshore's operations.

Requirements

 Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • · Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations
  • · Excellent incident investigation and root cause analysis skills 
  • · Effective leadership, communication, and employee engagement abilities
  • · Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
  • · Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills 
  • · Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EH&S reporting systems

Education and Experience: 

  • · Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • · Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
  • · 5+ years of progressive Environmental Health & Safety experience
  • · Experience in marine, construction, manufacturing, or industrial operations preferred
  • · Experience managing regulatory compliance programs and incident investigations 
  • · Demonstrated success leading safety culture initiatives and risk reduction programs

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, moving equipment, noise, dust, chemicals, varying temperatures, and other industrial conditions

· Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout production, warehouse, and office areas for extended periods of time

· Ability to conduct facility inspections, safety audits, incident investigations, and ergonomic assessments throughout the plant

· Ability to climb stairs, ladders, platforms, and access elevated work areas safely

· Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and work in confined or restricted spaces when conducting inspections or investigations

· Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds and, on occasion, up to 50 pounds with or without assistance

· Ability to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, respirators, steel-toed footwear, gloves, and other protective equipment as required

· Ability to respond to emergency situations, including evacuations, medical incidents, environmental releases, and accident investigations

· Ability to visually inspect work areas, equipment, and safety conditions and distinguish colors for hazard identification, warning labels, and safety signage 

· Ability to communicate effectively with employees, contractors, regulators, and leadership in both office and production environments

· This is a safety-sensitive position

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions, normal office environment or factory environment that is not climate controlled. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The factory in certain areas maintains a high fiberglass and dust environment. 

Personal Protective Equipment might be required in certain areas of the factory including but not limited to safety glasses, respirator, hearing protection, gloves and protective garments.

Employees in safety-sensitive positions must report to work fit for duty and must remain fit for duty throughout their workday. To be fit for duty, the employee must not be impaired by alcohol, illicit drugs, or medication.
