We’re hiring a Labor Standards & Efficiency Senior Consultant for an 8-week project with our client, a fast-growing operation with 80+ locations nationwide. This engagement will focus on labor optimization, operational benchmarking, and strategic staffing recommendations across 15 representative sites.
What You’ll Do
Project Objective:
Deliver a comprehensive labor efficiency and staffing optimization strategy that enhances operational performance and customer satisfaction while reducing costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning & Foundation
- Compile baseline labor, financial, and operational data
- Analyze historical labor and customer traffic trends
- Coordinate site selection and scheduling for field studies
- Conduct DILO (Day in the Life Of) studies across 15 locations
- Perform time studies and process mapping of wash cycles and service activities
- Interview stakeholders across multiple organizational layers
- Analyze labor utilization during peak/off-peak and weather-impacted periods
- Develop staffing models and labor benchmarks
- Assess organizational layers for scalability (Site, Regional, Area Managers)
- Delivery of cost-benefit and ROI analysis
- Provide short- and long-term implementation strategies
- DILO Study Documentation with labor standards and activity analysis
- Executive Findings Report with staffing models, cohort stratification, and ROI
- Implementation of roadmap for operational improvements
- 7+ years in operations consulting, labor standards, or workforce strategy
- Skilled in time-motion studies, staffing models, and field research
- Strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills
- Willing to travel to selected U.S. locations
