The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), 787 Interiors organization is seeking to fill multiple Cabin Systems Technical Design positions in North Charleston, SC.
Position Overview:
This position will specifically involve working with Cabin Systems, which encompasses interior lighting, passenger address systems, in-flight entertainment, seatback video, passenger connectivity, satellite connections and more. Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintains releases and assists in developing electrical/mechanical drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data, by applying Company, industry and governmental standards.
- Using design tools, prepares documentation and incorporates basic design changes.
- Creates, develops and maintains elementary systems designs.
- Supports engineering system design and functionality validation activities.
- Supports the development and maintenance of moderately-complex product installation designs and part designs.
- Supports coordination with internal partners and external suppliers. Works under general supervision.
Work Authorization:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the North Charleston, South Carolina location.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- Level 2: Associate's degree + 1yrs; Bachelor's degree; or 3yrs related work experience
- 1+ years of experience in technical design, including modeling, and technical integration or equivalent combination of additional education and relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience in aerospace interiors, materials and properties, design criteria and release
- Experience working with technical requirements or technical writing
- Experience working with Model based design (Catia V5) and systems engineering (Enovia), or Relational design
- Knowledge of Boeing design, production, and build processes (e.g., maintenance access solid, dependability cost model, produceability tradeoffs) to effectively influence product design
- Demonstrates good problem-solving skills and critical thinking
- Ability to use a variety of media to clearly convey information and ideas to a variety of audiences
- Demonstrated interest in continuous personal learning and development

Summary Pay Range:
