The Educational Content Specialist will support ForeFlight customers through the creation of educational tools, resources, and content on the use of ForeFlight Products. Helping in the creation of a new team, the Educational Content Specialist will write instructional syllabuses, presentations, documentation, and assist in the recording of content for learning management systems. The goal will be to provide customers with a path from first-time users to ForeFlight experts that matches the world-class quality of the product they are being trained on.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as an expert on ForeFlight products, understanding features, capabilities, and potential use cases inside out.
  • Create, maintain, and update educational syllabuses, LMS content, training presentations, and other types of educational content
  • Meet with the engineering team and document updates prior to release
  • Employ educational principles to efficiently educate and ensure customer comprehension
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their business objectives and technical requirements, translating them into actionable solutions using our products.
  • Help develop frameworks to enable the rapid build-out of content and sustainable maintenance with an aggressive release schedule
  • Write and give presentations to customers both in webinars and at events with upwards of 600 attendees
  • Travel to customers locations to provide onsite training
  • Educate new employees on our applications and how customers use them


Requirements:

  • Background in aviation education is required; instructional design background strongly preferred
  • Excellent oral presentation skills
  • Ability to outline and develop content based on educational principles that can adapt to varying customer needs and formats
  • Communicate complex ideas in a manner that is understandable to customers and staff
  • Work in a team to meet deadlines, event dates, and customer schedules requiring a rapid pace of development
  • Experience with Macs, LMS Platforms, JIRA, Pages, Foreflight Mobile is preferred
