Role overview 

At CommSec, we believe in empowering people to grow their knowledge and build financial confidence. As our Editorial Manager – Media and Markets, you’ll play a key role in shaping how Australians understand global and local markets, helping them invest with confidence.  

You will help ensure our market insights are clear, consistent and effectively delivered across channels, supporting both audience engagement and content visibility.  

You’ll work closely with equity market commentators and the broader Media and Markets team to bring timely, relevant content to life across a range of platforms.  

On any given day, you will 

In this role, you will support the Media and Markets team to deliver clear, timely and highquality content across digital channels, ensuring a consistent and engaging experience for customers.  

You will contribute to the planning, coordination and delivery of content across formats, helping to maintain a clear and structured editorial approach. This includes supporting the editorial calendar, ensuring content is prioritised effectively and aligned to key market moments, business priorities and audience needs.  

You will play an important role in maintaining editorial quality and consistency across all outputs. This includes ensuring content is clear, accessible and aligned to CommSec’s tone of voice, as well as supporting the ongoing development and application of editorial standards and guidelines.  

You will work closely with content producers, commentators and stakeholders across CommSec to ensure Media and Markets team content is effectively positioned and delivered across channels. A key focus of the role is supporting the distribution and discoverability of the team’s content, ensuring it is surfaced appropriately across owned, internal and earned platforms.  

You will use available data, insights and performance signals to inform content decisions and identify opportunities to improve reach, engagement and effectiveness over time. This includes contributing to continuous improvement in how content is created, structured and delivered.  

You will also support compliance and risk requirements, ensuring content meets regulatory, legal and governance standards, and identifying and escalating any potential issues as required.

You will demonstrate strong editorial judgement, with a focus on clarity, accuracy and accessibility. You will understand how content performs across digital channels and how audiences engage with different formats.  

You will be comfortable working in a fastpaced environment, managing multiple priorities and contributing across a range of content activities. Strong collaboration skills are essential, as you will work closely with a range of stakeholders across content, marketing and the broader business.  

You will be proactive in identifying opportunities to improve content quality, consistency and performance. Experience working with content management systems, workflows and performance metrics will be highly regarded.  

An interest in financial markets and content that helps customers understand investing will be beneficial.
