Company Description
Salary: up to £30,000 plus benefits
We're looking for a Junior Analyst to join our Editorial Intelligence Team. You'll be an important part of the team supporting newsrooms, giving them data and insights based on different data sources and how our site is performing. You'll report to the Senior Business Partner and be key in connecting the dots between data analysis and our editorial strategy, making sure our content hits home with our target audiences.
Role Location
This is a home based position and so we are therefore open to candidates based across the UK.
So, who are we?
We are Reach Plc, you might not have heard of us but we have probably met without you even realising it. We are home to the UK and Ireland’s most iconic digital platforms, magazines and newspapers. From the Mirror, Daily Express and OK!, to our regional titles such as the Liverpool Echo, BirminghamLive and the Manchester Evening News (plus lots more), our brands and the stories we cover are as varied as our people. We help all kinds of people share experiences through our stories because we believe this is what makes us human.
Oh, and we should probably also mention that with a monthly readership of 47 million people, Reach is the largest commercial publisher in the UK. At Reach, not only will you feel better understood, you will also feel you understand other people better too.
Job Description
As a Junior Analyst, you'll keep an eye on how our website traffic is doing. You'll dig into the numbers to spot trends and come up with useful insights and reports that directly shape our content strategies. Your work will help us make smart decisions, boosting how relevant our content is and how engaged our audience becomes.
You'll team up with different departments to make sure everyone’s on the same page about what the data means, building great relationships and keeping communication open. You'll share your insights in clear and varied ways—whether that's writing them down or presenting them—tailoring your style to fit whoever you’re talking to.
You'll also help out the Business Partners by setting up easy-to-use dashboards for our journalists and editorial teams, making sure they’re used effectively and kept up to date. This means you’ll juggle different tasks and projects, focusing on what's most important and urgent.
Qualifications
We're on the hunt for someone who's got experience in digging into data and spotting trends, pulling out useful insights, and using them to help make decisions. You should be comfortable with spreadsheets and able to work well on your own.
You should be able to work well with different teams, share your findings clearly in different ways, and have great communication skills, both written and spoken.
Due to the nature of the role and where it sits within the organisation, it would be great if you've worked in an editorial environment before, but it's not a must-have.
