About the role
As an Editorial Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, compliant medical communications projects. You’ll work closely with account teams and senior editors, helping to prepare client deliverables such as congress and journal submissions, references, and permissions. This role gives you the opportunity to apply your eye for detail, organizational skills, and curiosity while learning from experienced colleagues across multiple accounts.

This position is ideally based in the North West within a commutable distance to our central Manchester office; however, candidates located in other regions, may also be considered depending on qualifications and experience.
What You'll Do
As an Editorial Assistant, you will provide essential support to our editorial team, ensuring the accuracy and quality of client project deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Proofreading scientific materials, including manuscripts, slides, and reports
- Conducting literature searches and retrieving references from online databases
- Assisting in preparing journal and congress submission packages and ensuring compliance with editorial guidelines
- Managing permissions acquisitions
- Keeping accurate records and maintaining organized project files
- Supporting editorial and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of projects
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Degree in a scientific or related field.
- A strong command of grammar, punctuation, and scientific terminology
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and online reference tools
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Previous experience in an editorial role, medical communications, or publishing is a bonus, but not essential—we value a willingness to learn and a passion for accuracy in scientific communication.
