As a Senior Editor at AKQA, you will be responsible for the management of complex end-to-end editing of video assets and are key part of the core production team for all regional moving image assets. This position is part of the production team working with the production leads, producers, client servicing and creative team members on a daily basis. You will be involved in bringing visual storytelling to life by editing and enhancing moving image content. You will work with various types of media, including videos, films, animations, and commercials, to create engaging and impactful visual experiences.
This position requires technical expertise in editing software. Attention to detail will be essential in transforming raw footage into polished, cohesive, and visually stunning final products.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Technical Expertise: Utilising industry-standard editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.
- Owns and is responsible for the successful delivery of production projects on time and beyond expectations.
- The ability to translate the creative vision and objectives of each project and work collaboratively with directors, producers, and creative team members to effectively tell the story through visual elements.
- Able to conduct thorough reviews of edited content to ensure accuracy, continuity, and adherence to project specifications. Identify and resolve any technical issues or inconsistencies in the visuals or audio.
- Be a workflow manager – Organize and manage media assets, project files, and backups in an efficient manner. Meeting project deadlines and delivering high-quality work within the designated timelines.
QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS
- 5+ years proven experience in a communication agency or production house environment.
- Experience working on high quality production projects including campaigns & brand films.
- A compelling showreel of work that demonstrates high quality creative editing, colour correction and visual storytelling skills.
