About the roleThis position exists to review, edit, and audit summaries, headnotes and other annotations created by Generative AI processes for caselaw documents, following established guidelines; quickly and accurately identify legal issues and determine the precedential impact to cases and statutes cited within opinions; apply appropriate history and treatment letters/phrases based on approved guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Review value-added content created by Generative AI processes and compare it to original case text to ensure it accurately reflects key rules of law, significant facts, and important holdings.
- Edit content created by Generative AI processes to ensure it meets pre-defined customer criteria.
- Create original summaries and other value-add features for caselaw content where needed, using PC-based tools and software.
- Make decisions on complex legal editorial /analysis issues.
- Ensure the timeliness and quality of completed summaries, annotations, history and letter treatments.
- Other job duties as assigned by Editorial Manager.
Requirements
- LLB or LLM Degree
- Excellent analysis, research and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently, yet ask questions when appropriate.
- Effective reading comprehension skills and ability to quickly identify issues.
- Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines.
- Flexibility necessary to adapt to changing business demands.
- Cultural awareness and ability to work across businesses and time zones.
- Ability to work in an ambiguous and continuously changing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work at home.
