Red Ventures is looking for an Editor I to join our broadband marketplace, Allconnect.com. The editor will be responsible for updating existing stories, editing articles from staff and freelance writers, as well as collaborating with our SEO and brand marketing teams to optimize content for search engines.

The editor should have superb editing skills, as well as project management, communication and content strategy skills. The ability to work and communicate well in a remote team setting is a must.

What You’ll Do:

• Edit internet-based articles that rank highly on search and resonate with our consumer audience
• Check story drafts for errors, typos and linking opportunities
• Pitch creative ideas on how Allconnect can stand out in the broadband space
• Do keyword research to identify content gaps and opportunities to refresh and optimize existing content
• Monitor key trends and news in the broadband space to help drive decisions on emerging content opportunities
• Edit content for AP Style, matching content to internal brand voice and style
• Create, produce and publish stories in WordPress

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of editing experience
• Excellent research, writing and editorial skills, with the ability to effectively communicate edits to writers, both in-house and freelance
• Ability to edit content based on SEO concepts and best practices
• Experience meeting tight deadlines while working independently to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
• Ability to grasp the voice, style and tone of the Allconnect brand
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with a team and individually as needed
• Understanding of AP style
• Enthusiasm for leveraging technology to find efficiencies in the content workflow

Compensation

• USA Compensation Range: $55,000 - $70,000
• New York City Compensation Range: $66,000 - $84,000
  *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
