- As assigned, during programs, serves as line producer and manages the timing and order of stories included in broadcasts
- Participates in the creation and development of regularly scheduled or special radio and/or tv programs and/or web and social media sections, as assigned
- Contributes to production elements of programs and content for broadcast and/or web and social media, including fine editing of taped material, as assigned
- Performs technical functions including operation of equipment, as assigned
- Contributes to teamwork, facilitating tasks of teammates, as needed
- Meets VOA standards for productivity, quality, and meeting deadlines
- Serves as videographer/reporter, as assigned
- Works independently or as a member of a team
- Fluency in target language (written, spoken) and deep knowledge of the target area, plus the ability to adapt stories into English as assigned, within the time assigned
- Has specialized knowledge including formal education in a field desired by VOA, regularly demonstrating that added ability through the performance of his/her duties
- Logs and conducts data entry and other functions connected with VOAs digital asset management system
- Other related duties as assigned

Skills Required
- Fluency in target language (written and spoken) and deep knowledge of the target area

- Experience operating production equipment and performing technical production functions
- Experience with fine editing of taped material and contributing production elements for broadcast and web/social media
