If so, we're looking for you to join our EDI Tech Admin team as an administrator!
As an EDI Tech Admin team member, you'll be the frontline hero responsible for managing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) operations using various technologies. This role is pivotal in ensuring 24x7 support for incident management and change management activities. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, implement changes, and maintain the stability of our EDI systems
Key Responsibilities
Incident Management:
- Monitor and respond to EDI-related incidents promptly to minimize downtime
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues within EDI systems, ensuring root cause analysis is performed and documented
- Escalate critical issues to appropriate teams while maintaining ownership until resolution
Change Management:
- Implement EDI application-configuration changes, partner setups following established change control processes
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure changes are tested and deployed with minimal disruption
System Monitoring & Maintenance:
- Use monitoring tools to proactively identify potential issues and address them before they escalate
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on EDI systems to ensure optimal performance
Collaboration & Communication:
- Act as a liaison between business users and various IT teams to resolve EDI-related issues
- Provide timely updates to stakeholders on incident status and resolution timelines
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, changes, and system configurations
- Generate regular reports on system performance, incidents, and changes for management review
Performance-Capacity-Management:
Hyper-focus on thread and heap utilization of the application-stack, to ensure the application performs to its best ability without the need to scale
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills:
- 8-10 years of experience in EDI support, with Sterling B2B Integrator, Sterling Transformation Extender, Sterling Transformation Extender Advanced (formerly known as ITX & ITX-A) and Eliassen Lightwell
- Strong understanding of EDI communication protocols (e.g., AS2, FTP, SFTP)
- Perform application-upgrades and patch-management with minimal down-time
- SQL skills for research into application-level database-tables
- Cloud-based EDI solutions or integrations including containerization
- Implementation & understanding of SOC2 and/or SOX audit compliance-related needs
- Experience in incident and change management processes, preferably within an ITIL framework
- Excellent communication, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a 24x7 rotational shift environment
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation and troubleshooting
- Experience with monitoring tools like NewRelic, Splunk, Nagios, or similar
