The Opportunity: 

The Design Data Management team within ADI’s Engineering Enablement group are looking for a user-focused applications engineer to support our internal users. Are you a person with strong foundations in IC design flows and data management, who has enthusiasm for working with a broad base of users? If so, this might be the role for you. We are a globally distributed team that supports and builds internal tooling & services using modern software development practices and deploy across private & public cloud infrastructure. We support what we build - so we focus on doing it right. 

 

What will I be doing: 

  • Support and train users on new and existing product features 

  • Work with users and other teams to debug and troubleshoot technical issues 

  • Provide technical support to our design user-base 

  • Interact with users and other teams to provide solutions for users 

  • Work with developers to provide the voice of the user for new features and changes 

  • Perform evaluation and acceptance testing of new tool features 

  • Create technical articles, presentations, and trainings for users

 

What skills do I need: 

  •  Previous experience with IC Development flows and tools, e.g. Design, Layout or Test experience hugely beneficial 

  • Ability to share, learn and work effectively in a globally distributed team 

  • Ability to work independently on user issues 

  • Be comfortable with Linux and Cadence design tools 

  • Must be familiar with at least one data management platform, e.g. Perforce or Git 

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking skills and time management skills 

  • Play an active role within development teams acting as a customer advocate to help ensure teams make informed decisions 

 

What Qualifications do I need: 

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic, Electronic & Computer Engineering or similar  

  • 7+ years plus semiconductor industry experience an advantage
