We are currently looking for eCommerce Tracking & Data Insights Manager/Specialist with strong skills and proven experience for a full-time engagement.
Typical Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Analyze user behavior across the entire conversion funnel (Landing Page → Product Detail Page → Cart → Checkout) using Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Matomo, and heatmap tools.
- Identify drop-off points and develop actionable optimization hypotheses.
- Plan, prioritize, and evaluate A/B tests and multivariate tests.
- Create and maintain dashboards in Power BI or Looker Studio for various stakeholders.
- Combine onsite analytics data (GA4/Matomo) with inventory data, pricing information, weather data, and internal performance metrics to generate meaningful business insights.
- Collaborate closely with the Performance Marketing, Customer Experience (CX), and Operations teams to drive data-informed improvements.
- Conduct cross-market analyses and country-specific optimizations for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and Poland.
- Continuously improve tracking implementation and attribution models.
Required Tools & Technologies:
- Google Analytics 4 (Enhanced Ecommerce) – advanced proficiency
- Matomo (or similar open-source analytics solutions)
- Shopify (Analytics, Liquid, Apps)
- Power BI or Looker Studio for dashboard creation and reporting
- Heatmap and session recording tools (e.g., Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity)
- A/B testing platforms (e.g., Google Optimize, VWO, Optimizely)
- SQL / BigQuery
- ERP and warehouse management systems, as well as related integrations (preferred)
- Weather APIs and external data sources (preferred)
Required Qualifications:
- 3–7 years of relevant professional experience in eCommerce Analytics, Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), or Growth Analytics.
- Experience in an international or DACH-based eCommerce company is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in improving conversion rate, average order value (AOV), or revenue through data-driven optimization initiatives.
- Strong experience in web analytics and conversion rate optimization (CRO) within an eCommerce environment.
- Proven ability to combine data from multiple sources (onsite analytics, inventory, pricing, and external datasets) to generate actionable business insights.
- Hands-on experience with A/B testing and statistical analysis of test results.
- Experience working with large datasets; SQL knowledge is an advantage.
- A growth-hacking mindset with a strong focus on using data to drive measurable revenue growth.
- Good understanding of Customer Experience (CX) principles and collaboration with CX teams.
- Experience with cross-border eCommerce and country-specific performance analysis.
- German: Business fluent (C1–C2), required for close collaboration with German-speaking teams and stakeholders.
- English: Fluent (C1), required for international collaboration, analytics tools, and documentation.
