Job Summary:

This role is fully remote and allows for a flexible working schedule. The person in this role will report to the London-based marketing team, but can work from outside the UK. 

Ruggable is looking for an Ecommerce Merchandising Assistant to join our team remotely and be a key part of our Europe expansion. The Ecommerce Merchandising Assistant will focus primarily on executing merchandising tasks to enhance the overall shopping experience on all Ruggable websites. 

This role is part of the broader E-commerce and Marketing team and will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth performance of our website. This is a unique opportunity for someone interested in E-commerce merchandising. We have big plans for Ruggable’s growth in the UK and Europe, and this role is integral to our success. You would be reporting to the London based Ecommerce Merchandising Associate and provide support with ad hoc ecommerce projects as well as the following tasks.

What You’ll Do:

Product Merchandising (Shopify)

    • Tagging products with relevant keywords and categories
    • Updating tags based on customer behavior and search trends
    • Adding new product descriptions, images, and specifications
    • Ensuring accurate information on the product pages 
    • Organizing products into appropriate categories and subcategories
    • Creating new categories based on seasonal trends or new collections

Promotional Management (Shopify)

    • Implementing discount codes
    • Setting up and managing holiday or seasonal sales events

Visual Merchandising (SearchSpring)

    • Designing and arranging products on listing pages to enhance visual appeal
    • Implementing cross-selling and upselling strategies on PLPs
    • Creating and updating in-category banners and promotional graphics

Content Updates (Contentful)

    • Designing homepage and landing page layouts to highlight featured products
    • Add SEO text/ content to pages where required
    • Refreshing product descriptions and specifications to keep information current
    • Adding customer reviews and ratings to product pages


What You’ll Need to Have:

Required:

  • 1-2 years of Ecommerce and/or Ecommerce Merchandising experience
  • Experience with (or willingness to learn) E-commerce tools and platforms including Shopify, SearchSpring, Contentful, Slack, Asana
  • Good understanding of Excel and Google Sheets
  • High quality standards with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to problem-solve collaboratively with cross-functional team members
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written

Preferred:

  • Experience in a DTC start-up environment

Compensation:

  • $1,000 -1,500 USD per month
