The eCommerce Merchandise Planner plays a key role in driving revenue and optimizing margins for our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) platform. With responsibility for forecasting and managing inventory levels, you will utilize critical functions such as demand planning, inventory control, POS and trend analysis, to maintain operational efficiency while supporting strategic growth. The eCommerce Merchandise Planner is essential in tracking real-time business performance, analyzing complex data, and recommending swift action plans to tackle challenges or capitalize on opportunities. As the primary operational point of contact, the  eCommerce Merchandise Planner will work closely with cross-functional teams across Shark and Ninja, ensuring timely communication and resolution of business issues

Responsibilities:
    • Business Reporting & Action Plans: Pull and analyze weekly business reports, identifying any key call-to-action items or highlights for senior leadership.
    • Sales & Promotional Performance: Track and coordinate sales performance to align with promotional expectations, proposing adjustments based on results. Help formulate future shipment plans within assigned categories.
    • Demand & Inventory Planning: Collaborating with your manager, demand planning, finance, and sales teams to manage forecasting, inventory planning, and supply chain management.
    • Data Management: Input forecasts and confirmed promotional plans into SFO and update data governance with new additions, maintaining accurate pricing and product information.
    • Replenishment Review: Lead weekly meetings with replenishment teams to review sales results, confirm changes, and assess the impact on sales performance.
    • Supply Chain Coordination: Partner with supply chain teams to ensure accurate planning and availability dates to meet sales and promotional demands.
    • Market Knowledge: Quickly develop an understanding of the product and consumer base, including insights into our competition, to inform strategy and execution.
    • Financial Analysis: Provide financial updates, conducting deep dive analyses into key operational and sales performance metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
Requirements:
    • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, business analytics, or financial roles within the consumer products industry.
    • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and synthesize insights from complex data sets to support strategic decision-making.
    • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, embodying SharkNinja’s Winning is a Team Sport principle.
    • Retail Experience: Past operational or planning experience with large retailers is preferred.
    • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft suite products; experience with forecasting software (SFO) is a plus.
    • Project Management: Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Positive Attitude: A proactive and positive approach to challenges, with the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
    • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
