From medical device automation to custom crane systems to robotic manufacturing solutions, the work you do will ensure our customers around the world have the most cutting-edge capabilities. We're seeking an early career Mechanical Engineer to gain firsthand experience in researching, conceptualizing, and designing mechanical and electromechanical systems.
Success Criteria:
As a continuous learner, you'll be tasked with getting up-to-speed on our existing projects and work closely with various team members to build creative technical solutions to take on complex engineering problems. This role requires solid technical acumen and interest in hands-on machine design, electro-mechanical systems, automation, and should possess a functional understanding of both mechanics and control systems. The ideal candidate is driven to deliver and proactively work in a team environment with other mechanical, controls, and software engineers. Our customers expect quality, and so do we. Using your technical judgment for planning, organizing, performing, and coordinating product development engineering assignments will get you further faster.
Some key responsibilities of the role include:
- Developing mechanical automation designs from customer specifications
- Researching commercially available hardware components and sub-assemblies that can be incorporated into the machine design to reduce cost and improve reliability
- Participating in customer design reviews
- Producing detailed design drawings for system procurement, fabrication, and assembly.
- Proactively working in a team environment with other mechanical, controls, and software engineers to support the design, assembly, integration, check-out, and testing of machines and systems
- Supporting fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering best practices and customer specifications
- Providing occasional on-site integration, testing, and field service (repair) support (some travel required)

We offer market competitive pay and benefits based upon the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Our starting rate of pay for this salaried position is targeted at $72,000-$76,000 annually.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred)
- Functional user of CAD Systems and Microsoft Office tools (with an emphasis on Excel). Experience with SolidWorks (preferred)
- Ability to perform static and dynamic stress analysis including manual calculations and FEA
- Fundamental knowledge of engineering materials
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Relevant experience or knowledge gained through previous employment or internships is a plus, but not required. Some examples include machine design, use of CAD systems, and exposure to automated manufacturing.
