RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Instrumentation and Control System Operation:
- Operate and monitor plant instrumentation systems and Distributed Control Systems (DCS, Emerson Delta V/Siemens PCS7) & PLC (Siemens) to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the chemical plant. o Troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions to minimize downtime and maintain production quality.
- Perform routine checks and calibrations of instrumentation equipment.
2. Maintenance and Repairs:
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for DCS Emerson Delta V/Siemens PCS7, PLC (Siemens) and instrumentation systems. Especially familiar like package equipment’s E&I system.
- Diagnose and repair faults in control systems, sensors, transmitters, actuators, and other instrumentation components. o Ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Closely collaborate with PEs and plants to draft execution plan, estimate budget for daily maintenance work.
- Conduct plant shutdown maintenance for E&I annually o Keep developing preventive and predictive maintenance to identify issue earlier and reduce downtime.
3. Project/MOC Support:
- Provide technical support for designing, installation, commissioning, and upgrades of instrumentation and DCS systems. (Emerson Delta V/Siemens PCS7) & PLC (Siemens)
- Works independently for Modification of Changes (MOC)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on engineering projects and system improvements.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system configurations, and equipment performance.
- Maintain and update E&I department document. Ensure all activities comply with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Instrumentation Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. and 10 years working experience in instrumentation and DCS (Emerson Delta V/Siemens PCS7), preferably in the chemical or process industry.
- Hands-on experience with DCS systems (Emerson Delta V/Siemens PCS7), ability to implement the MOC/small capex of DCS systems (Emerson Delta V/Siemens PCS7)
- Familiar with PLC (Siemens series PLCs)
- Strong knowledge of field instrumentations and systems, control loops, and process automation.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing instrumentation field devices & control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
