This role will be critical in extracting actionable business insights from customer data to guide strategic decision making and priorities for the eCommerce and broader marketing and sales teams.  This individual will primarily focus on areas of customer acquisition and retention to identify opportunities for spend optimization, growth and reduced churn.

• Structure data to extract actionable insights in areas such as customer acquisition, lifetime value and campaign effectiveness.
• Manage end-to-end data analysis tasks, including data extraction, cleaning, analysis and interpretation.
• Conduct regular competitive evaluations, identifying recent market developments and opportunities.
• Partner with technical teams to improve data instrumentation.
• Create dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights to relevant business stakeholders.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for the eCommerce business.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business objectives with data analysis.

What you will bring to the table…

• 4+ years experience as an e-commerce or web marketing data analyst / data scientist, preferably in a SaaS e-commerce environment.
• 4+ years of experience interpreting and analyzing data using statistical techniques and delivering ongoing reports.
• 4+ years of experience with data mining techniques to extract significant insights from large datasets.
• 4+ years of experience building predictive models from observed datasets. 
• 4+ years of experience working within SaaS eCommerce operations, customer retention strategies and marketing performance metrics.
• 4+ years experience as a power user of Google Analytics and DataStudio/Looker - Expert including: Creating custom dashboards and reports, understanding segments and how to apply them incorporating external data sources into Looker, working with and understand the nuances of GA4
• 4+ years experience as a power user of Google Sheets, familiarity with most core functions and able to leverage functions to make data evaluations scalable, advanced knowledge of regex syntax and how and why to use regex functions in Google Sheets, creating data visualizations using graphs / pivot tables / conditional formatting, etc..
• 2+ years experience in Salesforce creating reports within SFDC if required and articulating clear reporting requirements to external resources.
• 2+ years experience in Tableau understanding the capabilities and limitations  of the platform and can provide clear requirements to drive automated reporting. 
• 1+ years experience in Database SQL, ability to read and understand SQL structure
• Advanced understanding of data science methodologies including statistical analysis, data mining and predictive modeling.
• Experience using data to drive decision making with a highly analytical mentality.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience presenting data to a variety of audiences in a manner that tells a story.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to successfully work independently at times and also collaborate interdepartmentally.
• Ability to achieve your own KPIs while also supporting other team members in hitting their own KPIs. 

You will stand out if you also have…

• Experience with SQL and familiarity with database management.
• Experience with statistical programming languages such as R or Python.
• Experience with GA4.

• Location requirements: Fully remote within the U.S. (Los Angeles, Las Vegas or Braintree, Massachusetts preferred.)
• Travel requirements: Up to 10% travel
• Physical requirements: Must be able to sit for long periods, as well as, handle long periods of screen time.

The salary range for this role is up to $105,000 USD.  The total compensation package for this position is negotiable and may also include [annual performance bonus, ESPP, enhanced time off packages and benefits.]
