BGS is seeking a E-4B Maintenance Pre-Planning Engineer in Oklahoma City, OK. This role is responsible to develop, refine and improve the execution of the E-4B maintenance plan with emphasis on Programed Depot Maintenance (PDM) activity. Develop and maintain configuration of maintenance activities in accordance with published maintenance documentation. Manage lessons learned programs to increase efficiency during PDM activities. Schedule, coordinate and host simulations events. Develop a build plan to be utilized for job sequencing. Interpret Engineering drawings and specification in support of E-4B aircraft maintenance and modification activities. Analyzes maintenance activities to target opportunities for process improvements.

General Engineering customer support including use of technical publications and aircraft maintenance manuals. General understanding of service bulletins and FAA Airworthiness Directives. General understanding of 747 commercial derivative military aircraft.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate or Mid-Level E-4B Maintenance Pre-Planning Engineer.

Position Responsibilities

  • Applies basic engineering technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques to support product support engineering and analysis to ensure supportability, sustainability, reliability, maintainability and operability of products and services throughout its lifecycle

  • Assists with defining, evaluating and maintaining engineering supportability, maintainability, and operability requirements for products, systems and programs

  • Supports data analysis to produce support, flight operation and maintenance equipment requirements

  • Assists with engineering changes based on customer requirements and proposed program changes

  • Supports customer meetings planning, researching and developing maintenance requirements and repair solutions that comply with customer, regulatory, Safety and company requirements

  • Assists with providing engineering and on-site technical assistance to customers’ products including ground support equipment, training devices, training facilities and maintenance facilities

  • Assists with proposal development

  • Travel to provide onsite support both at the PDM facility and USAF operational bases

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 2+ years of experience interpreting engineering drawings, technical publications, service bulletins, and/or component maintenance manuals

  • 2+ years maintenance planning documentation experience

  • 2+ years of experience evaluating maintenance findings and developing recommendations for preventive maintenance

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience  

  • Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

  • Experience with DoD Customers

  • Experience in aircraft sustainment requirements, reliability and maintainability, USAF technical orders, or USAF maintenance operations

  • Experience with aircraft maintenance related project management

  • Experience with data analysis techniques

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, or PowerPoint

Summary pay range Associate (Level 2): $68,000 - $92,000

Summary pay range Mid-Level (Level 3): $82,450 - $111,550
