Job Description

Introduction

Within ASML, the Customer Support (CS) sector is responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement of ASML systems at customer locations. One of the departments in this sector is CS DUV UIR, which is responsible for providing preparation, planning and execution support to customers and other CS segments. The CS DUV UIR Project lead will act as a single point of contact for the customer and all other relevant stakeholders from preparation to wrap up on all upgrade/install/relocation activities.

This hire will be part of a core team to start up the new factory and it will require intense shadowing with peer counterparts to gain knowledge and a good understanding of the customers way of working and build the necessary relationships to be successful.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Help to identify gaps in planning phase and deploy mitigation plans to prevent gaps in execution phase.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendor for the flawless execution of an ASML lithography tool upgrade/install/relocation.
  • Develop a detailed upgrade/install plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Understand team skill level and help upskill team members by effective organization of resources.
  • Ownership of meetings with customer to update status on progress, delays and actions taken to mitigate risk.
  • Active engagement with projects and stakeholders to identify gaps, drive solution paths and escalate as necessary to ensure commitment to plan.
  • Develop an understanding of and adhere to the UIR escalation process with the following stakeholders: business line, account team, TWINSCAN factory, local service, worldwide central.
  • Quickly and effectively resolve conflict among involved parties.
  • Organize Daily Kaizen with team to align and discuss roadblocks, mood, and any other issues.
  • Manage the project such that ASML lithography products are delivered on time, within budget and within scope.
  • Provide feedback to support continuous improvement on the upgrade/install/relocation process.
  • Work with logistics to order, return or defect parts and tools, update sales orders appropriately.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum 2-4 years' experience in related disciplines in engineering or 2-4 years' experience in UIR Project Coordinator experience.
  • Minimum 4-5 years' experience in product leadership within Customer Support and/or factory.

Other Information

  • Legal/export license control (see below).
  • Position will require travel up to but not limited to 30%.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts and extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
