Position:             Drop Team Supervisor

Job Summary:    Responsible for supervising all aspects of the drop/count operation, such as interviewing, scheduling, and performing monetary drops of all slot machines, table games and poker tables.  Transferring money to other money handling departments, following departmental and company procedures.  Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, Federal and State laws governing monetary transactions and company policies, procedures and controls.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for overseeing and directing the daily operations of the Drop Team.
  2. Responsible for verifying procedures and signing off on forms requiring a Drop Team Supervisor’s signature.
  3. Ensures adequate staffing levels by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, assisting with career development, and promoting, praising and disciplining team members as needed.
  4. Ensures the integrity of all monetary transactions.
  5. Oversees the operation of the Advantage Casino System to include EZ-Pay-IVS for soft count, Drop Utilities, and CTA for Table Games.
  6. Facilitates the flow of information, by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled meetings with all team members under his/her span of control.
  7. Held accountable, to a high degree, for accuracy and thoroughness of departmental computerized programs for soft count, all paper work, loading and down loading scanner data.
  8. Maintains adequate supplies necessary to effectively perform the duties of the job; keeps a clean, neat, well-restocked area, re-stock supplies as needed.
  9. Must provide courteous service and be cordial to all team members and guests.
  10. Maintains all records, reports and other required paperwork in the count room.
  11. Conducts the necessary research to effectively resolve variances.
  12. Must be able to run a variety of currency counters such as a two pocket, four pocket, seven pocket and MPS currency discriminator.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Responsible for maintaining a consistent regular attendance record.
  2. Responsible for the development of weekly schedules for their particular shift when need arises.
  3. Responsible for ensuring that all internal control policies, procedures and State Gaming Compact provisions are being followed at all times in the drop/count.
  4. Ensures all support duties and responsibilities to all departments are carried out in an efficient and timely manner and that immediate action on any situation that might be illegal or otherwise extraordinary.
  5. Must have the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all Department, Team Members and Guests.
  6. The ability to keep up with a fast paced atmosphere and work under pressure.
  7. Must be in good physical condition, able to lift 50lbs.
  8. Must be able to bend and lift from ground to counter level.
  9. Must be able to stand and walk 100% of the time.
  10. Must provide courteous and cordial service to all team members and guests.
  11. Excellent mathematical skills.
  12. Possess sound mature judgement.
  13. Possess organizational and planning skills.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or GED and one (1) to two (2) years of supervisory experience or any equivalent combination of academic education, professional training, or work experience.
  2. Money handling experience.
  3. Demonstrated track record of integrity and confidentiality.
  4. Demonstrated track record of reliability and responsiveness.
  5. Must be able to work a schedule that fits department needs (may require shift changes, weekends, holidays and special events), including overtime as requested by the Drop Team Manager.
  6. Must be able to stand and walk 100% of the job.
  7. Must be in good physical condition and able to lift 50 lbs.
  8. Must be able to work in a smoking environment.
  9. Must have employment eligibility in the US.
  10. Must be able to obtain and retain a valid gaming license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bilingual (English/Spanish)
