Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Drafting Team Lead to oversee our drafting department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting and design, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality work. You will be responsible for guiding a team of drafters, ensuring that projects are completed on time and meet our quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the drafting team, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Review and approve drafting work for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Develop and maintain drafting standards and procedures to improve efficiency and quality.
- Manage project timelines and resources, ensuring that deadlines are met.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project updates, challenges, and performance.
- Mentor junior drafters, providing constructive feedback and fostering professional development.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in drafting technologies and software.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals and presentations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge in Drafting, Engineering, Verizon or a related field.
- Minimum [2] years of experience in drafting, with at least [2] years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proficient in CAD software
- Strong understanding of drafting standards and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.
