Job Summary:
The primary function of the Drafter is to create, review, and update detail drawings primarily using Inventor and Autocad. The Drafter will be a key member of New Product Development team.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
Create 3D Inventor and 2D AutoCAD engineering documentation including extrusion die drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, part drawings, master drawings, bill of materials, test unit drawings, and installation instructions.
Ensure the drawings adhere to the industry and company drafting standards.
Create isometric or 3D drawings for technical documents or presentations.
Generate and conduct peer reviews of Engineering Changes.
Work with different teams/team members to gather necessary content for documentation.
Use engineering documentation in an Autodesk Vault environment.
You have:
Associate Degree from an accredited institution or prior experience in a drafter position for at least 2 years
Minimum 2 years experience with 3D modeling in Inventor and 2D drafting in Autocad
Experience with MS Office suite
Must be able to multi-task and handle several projects
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to details is critical
Good time management skills needed to accomplish the tasks on time
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years experience in 3D modeling with Inventor and 2D drafting with Autocad
Proficient in Autodesk’s AutoCAD, Inventor, and Vault platforms
Working knowledge of General Dimensioning and Tolerance (GDT) rules.
FGIA Fenestration Associate
Experience with iLogic or Macros
Skills Required
