Join HMT, the global leader in aboveground storage tank solutions, as a CNC Programmer/Drafter. In this role, you will support plasma cutting operations by preparing detailed drawing files and collaborating closely with the production team to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Reads and interprets construction drawings and creates CNC files for plasma cutting tables to produce parts for fabrication.
- Applies industry and company standards in preparation and review of drawings, details, and diagrams
- Monitor and maintain inventory of drop materials to maximize utilization of materials and reduce scrap generated during processing
- Fill in for shop personnel within the department as needed based on work load and shop needs. This will require working in the shop environment.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
- 1 year of experience drafting or CNC programming
- 1 year of experience with AUTOCAD 2D
Preferred Experience:
- Excellent reading, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Advanced Math Skills - Architectural, Trigonometry
- API 650/653 Experience a plus
