JOB GOAL
To provide leadership and vision necessary to develop and administer educational programs that optimize available human and material resources to provide successful high-quality educational experiences for students in a safe and orderly environment.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

o A Master's degree from an accredited educational institution.

o Stem background is preferred

o Professional experience in software engineering, computer science, artificial intelligence, or technology product development is strongly preferred.

o Minimum 3 years of successful experience as a school or district administrator
o Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in a PK-12 setting

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Understands and supports the mission, vision, and values of DOVE Schools.
o Develops guidelines for proper student conduct and implement disciplinary procedures and policies that ensure a safe and orderly environment at the assigned school
o Establishes clear expectations and systems for behaviors, including social and emotional supports
o Leads strategies to proactively provide and coordinate student support services
o Manages the operation and all other activities and functions which occur at the assigned school
o Oversees student recruitment, enrollment, and retention activities
o Recruits, selects, and retain highly effective teachers and staff
o Conducts performance appraisals for school personnel
o Manages and supervises the school’s financial resources, including the preparation and disbursement of the school’s budget and internal accounts.
o Manages all extracurricular and athletic programs at the assigned school
o Establishes a professional rapport with students, parents, staff, and community
o Use appropriate and effective techniques to encourage community and parent involvement
o Effectively communicates with colleagues, district and central office staff
o Meets regularly with leadership team members and shares in the duties of running the campus effectively.
o Implements School Board policy, state statutes, and federal regulations as they pertain to the assigned school.
o Participates in working groups of staff and teachers to plan, problem solve, and support one another on an ongoing basis.
o Attends meetings, conferences, and workshops.
o Models personal commitment to developing self and others
o Displays the highest ethical and professional behavior and standards when working with students, parents, and school personnel.
o Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
o Ability to receive, internalize, and implement feedback from multiple sources
o Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of management, both internal and external
to the district.
o Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internal and external to the district.
o Ability to use computer including software, the database used by the district, spreadsheet, and word processing software,
calculator, copy machine, and telephone.
o Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
o Ability to use effective interview techniques, effective public speaking skills, and problem-solving skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o Light Work: may require the occasional light lifting.
o Nights and weekend activities will be occasionally required.
o Position is in the office setting and may involve prolonged work at a desk in one location.
o Moderate travel is required
