Project Description:
As Domain QA Engineer – Finance, you will safeguard the quality of critical financial and business flows (e.g. invoicing, payments) that span multiple teams and systems. You will combine hands-on testing, test automation, cross-team coordination, and coaching to improve release confidence across the Finance domain.
You will start within the QA Platform team to align on tools, standards, and automation practices, then work closely with Finance product teams to help them apply these practices effectively. Your focus will be both strategic and practical: defining quality approaches for end-to-end flows, contributing to automation, supporting risk-based manual validation where needed, and helping teams become more self-sufficient in quality ownership.
Job Description:
Summary of responsibilities, scope of the role, and key expectations.
You will be the key quality advocate within the domain, ensuring quality for key end-to-end flows or customer journeys and promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement in the teams that build these flows/journeys.
Drive cross-team test coordination, test data readiness, and validation activities for critical end-to-end flows where required.
Build, own, and drive the test plan for the Finance domain, ensuring strong coverage of key functionality and critical end-to-end customer and business flows spanning multiple teams and systems
Build and maintain automated API, integration, and end-to-end tests, and guide engineers in strengthening unit-level and component-level coverage.
Enable & accelerate teams to deliver quality by promoting strong testing practices and improving test coverage.
Provide fast, actionable feedback on releases, bugs, and new features before they reach production.
Identify quality risks early and work with the team to resolve them proactively.
Collaborate with the QA Platform Team and contribute to continuously improving tools, processes, end-to-end validation activities, and ways of working.
Participate in team ceremonies and actively contribute to improving ways of working.
