Twoday is looking for an experienced Domain Architect to join our Architecture team on a permanent basis.

You will initially be assigned to a large and business-critical public sector programme, working onsite in Copenhagen alongside business stakeholders, architects, technical leads, product management, and development teams. Following the assignment, you will have the opportunity to contribute to other customer engagements across Twoday's client portfolio.

As a Domain Architect, you will play a key role in ensuring that business requirements, architecture, and technology choices come together to create scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions. You will work across organisational boundaries and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment between business needs, architectural principles, and technical implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and define architecture for complex IT solutions that support business needs and strategic objectives.

  • Identify and define non-functional requirements, ensuring compliance with organisational standards and public sector requirements.

  • Advise development teams, technical leads, project managers, and senior stakeholders on architecture and technology decisions.

  • Communicate architectural principles, decisions, and technology choices to both internal teams and external suppliers.

  • Drive architectural governance and ensure consistency across multiple teams and domains.

  • Ensure security principles are embedded in solution designs and implementation approaches.

  • Take ownership of architectural deliverables throughout the solution lifecycle.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of architecture, design practices, and technology choices.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Collaborating with business stakeholders, development teams, and technical leads to clarify requirements and define solution approaches.

  • Facilitating workshops and architecture discussions across business and technical areas.

  • Designing scalable and maintainable solutions using proven architectural principles and design patterns.

  • Supporting initiatives that span multiple teams and systems to ensure sustainable and future-proof solutions.

  • Promoting reusable and adaptable architectures with a focus on reducing technology lock-in.

  • Establishing and maintaining technical governance through standards, guidelines, and quality assurance processes.

  • Ensuring applications, integrations, and infrastructure work effectively together across the broader system landscape.

  • Evaluating technologies and producing trade-off analyses to support informed decision-making.

  • Working closely with Product Management to align architecture with business priorities.

  • Supporting automation of documentation processes and optimisation of existing manual workflows.

  • Analysing integrations and data flows, including data lineage considerations, and recommending improvements where relevant.

  • Documenting architecture, solution designs, models, business cases, and key architectural decisions using tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect.

  • Supporting knowledge sharing and competence transfer to ensure long-term sustainability and operational readiness.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience working as a Domain Architect, Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, or in a similar architecture role.

  • Experience working with complex enterprise systems and large-scale IT landscapes.

  • Strong understanding of architecture governance, solution architecture, integration architecture, and enterprise architecture principles.

  • Experience working across multiple teams and stakeholder groups.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical architectural solutions.

  • Experience facilitating workshops and driving architectural discussions and decisions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Experience with architecture modelling and documentation tools, preferably Sparx Enterprise Architect.

  • Knowledge of security principles and their application in enterprise environments.
