Overview

As Documentation Lead, you will work in a dynamic team that is transitioning services and supporting operations providing critical insights to multiple cloud environments. The duties include the daily engagement with users, Engineers and clients build clear, accessible documentation for the systems stakeholders. You will be responsible for supporting an intelligence system that helps USCG safeguard our nation. This role is performed on site in Hillcrest Heights, Maryland.

Responsibilities

  • Work with all of the stakeholders in this program to provide documentation and support a product that meets the mission needs.
  • Design, develop and maintain clear communication products to help the people using and building the system be effective at meeting mission needs.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Active TS, SCI Eligible.
  • Associates Degree or higher.
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience.
  • Must have the ability to work and track multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with client and technical staff.
  • Ability to bring legacy documents up to date and aligned with client's needs.
  • Experience with information assurance policy and procedure.
  • Experience with program management office policy and procedure.
  • Ability to work with technical staff to effectively articulate system updates, changes, etc.
  • Ability to work productively to meet deadlines.
  • Must be willing to work as part of the documentation team, as well as the ability to complete solo projects.
  • Ability to follow implemented documentation process.
  • Knowledge of and experience with document classification and handling.
  • Proficient in document editing, formatting, and templates in various software applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a technical writer supporting application document and new system rollouts
  • Experience as training staff on using new systems
  • Experience developing training courses to system IT systems.
