Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Document Controller (Saudi National). In this role, you will be responsible for managing, tracking, and distributing all project-related documentation, including drawings, specifications, correspondence, and technical submittals. You will ensure compliance with Parsons' global quality management standards and client-specific protocols to maintain a seamless flow of data across engineering, construction, and management teams.
What You''ll Be Doing
EDMS Management: Administer and maintain the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS)—such as Aconex, PMWeb, or SharePoint—ensuring precise data entry and document indexing.
Quality Assurance: Review all incoming and outgoing project documentation for quality, accuracy, correct numbering, and completeness prior to distribution.
Distribution & Tracking: Control the workflow of technical submittals, RFIs, change orders, and engineering drawings, ensuring timely routing to relevant stakeholders and tracking overdue actions.
Archiving & Retrieval: Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy archive systems, ensuring rapid retrieval of project files and maintaining full audit trails.
Compliance & Standards: Enforce project-specific document control procedures and Parsons' corporate information management policies.
Reporting: Generate regular status reports on document review cycles, outstanding submittals, and overall document control metrics for Project Managers.
Handover Support: Assist in the compilation, organization, and close-out delivery of final as-built documentation to the client at project completion.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Information Management, English Language, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of dedicated document control experience, preferably within a major engineering, construction, or project management consultancy environment.
Systems Proficiency: Hands-on experience with industry-standard EDMS platforms (e.g., Aconex, PMWeb, Bentley ProjectWise, or OpenText). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Language Skills: Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic.
