POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARYThe Document Control Coordinator Lead is committed to supporting Louisiana Bridge Builders by coordinating, maintaining, coding, filing, and distributing all project related documentation and records for the Company in order to assist with the Company’s technical objectives related to design and construction.
LOCATIONThis position is based in Lake Charles, LA.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Responsible for the Document management of the project.
- Coordinates with Client and other third parties to resolve document control issues to obtain final approval of the executed works.
- Contributes to a workable document management system necessary to satisfy contract, procurement, and construction requirements.
- Manages all contracts related to Document Control management if applicable.
- Identifies document control risks and participates in the preparation of risk reports if required.
- Provides input in the review of the Project budget forecasts, providing the necessary technical part for its realization.
- Establishes and implements the document management strategy and other technical procedures for the project.
- Support in the execution stage.
- Guarantees an adequate organizational structure in document management, as well as its interface with other departments.
- Advises/participates in the formalization of contracts with software companies.
- Guarantees the correct transmission of design, construction, and commercial information to the entire project team.
- Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Effectively communicate in a positive and professional manner through written and verbal communications in all interfaces with customers/public, fellow employees, vendors, etc.
- Ability to use appropriate computer programs (including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite) which includes having proficient computer skills and the ability to adapt and learn as programs and processes change.
- Ability to work as a team member and exert initiative to work independently to reach a goal.

At a minimum, the Document Control Coordinator Lead must have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, construction management, or related field of study along with 6+ years of proven experience in document control and working with routine Document Control hardware and software or high school diploma, or equivalent, along with 10+ years of proven experience in document control and working with routine Document Control hardware and software. Prior senior or lead experience is preferred. Experience working with RIB CS, ACONEX, Project Wise, Fielwire or THINKPROJECT is preferred.

Skills Required

What We Do
Louisiana Bridge Builders (“LBB”) is designing and building the new I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge in Lake Charles, Louisiana (USA) for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD). LBB will also be responsible for the 5.5 miles of reconstruction of interstate highway, various structures, ramps, and approaches between I-210 West End and Ryan Street. LBB will implement a ‘free flow’ toll and remove the existing bridge. The new infrastructure will be built with environmentally friendly construction techniques to minimize the impact on the Lake Charles area. The bridge, which is part of the I-10 interstate highway and is the largest project in the history of the LADOTD, will replace the 70-year-old existing crossing, dramatically increase capacity, reduce congestion, improve travel times, and increase safety for Louisiana, the wider national interstate highway network, and the 70,000+ cars and trucks that use it daily. The final design, intended to preserve and recognize the heritage of the historic bridge, will be determined in cooperation with the LADOTD and the local community.
