Position Summary

The Distributor Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing strategic distributor relationships within the sales tracing and rebate processing program. This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned distributor partners, ensuring seamless onboarding, accurate and timely tracings data management, and consistent execution of chargeback and rebate reconciliation processes. The Account Manager plays a critical role in delivering a high-quality partner experience while driving operational efficiency and program success.


Key Responsibilities

Distributor Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison for assigned distributor partners (national, regional, and specialty distributors), building strong, trust-based relationships
  • Provide ongoing program support, performance updates, and proactive communication

Program Onboarding & Implementation

  • Lead end-to-end onboarding of new distributors into the sales tracing and rebate processing program
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with internal teams (IT, data, contracts, EDI) and external manufacturer partners to ensure a smooth implementation
  • Establish clear timelines, data submission expectations, file/EDI specifications, and deliverables to ensure a successful program launch

Data Management & Integrity

  • Ensure accurate and complete tracings data submissions from distributors, including chargeback detail, customer/membership eligibility, contract pricing, and units of measure
  • Maintain and update distributor data feeds on an ongoing basis to reflect program and contract changes
  • Partner with internal teams to validate data accuracy and resolve discrepancies, including eligibility/membership gaps, contract-rate disagreements, and UOM/conversion issues

Chargeback & Rebate Reconciliation

  • Oversee and ensure timely, accurate processing and validation of distributor chargebacks and rebates
  • Reconcile tracings against contracted pricing and resolve discrepancies as needed
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure alignment with contractual agreements

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline data submission and reconciliation processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance the overall distributor experience
  • Monitor program performance and escalate risks or issues proactively
  • Contribute to the development of SOPs, reporting enhancements, and best practices
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5+ years of experience in account management, distributor/channel management, rebates, contracts, or related operational roles
  • Strong understanding of distributor sales tracing, chargeback processing, contract administration, or GPO/distributor relationships preferred
  • Exceptional communication and relationship management skills
  • Strong analytical skill set and experience with data analysis in Excel
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Skills Required
