The Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM) Oversight Specialist is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle management of institutional client relationships across segregated mandates and dedicated funds. The role serves as a central coordination point between clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring that client requirements are successfully implemented, governed, and maintained throughout the duration of the relationship.
Working closely with investment teams, product specialists, legal, risk, compliance and operational functions, the role supports new business opportunities, client onboarding, ongoing servicing, reporting oversight and strategic client initiatives. The role combines strong stakeholder management with governance oversight to deliver a high-quality client experience while ensuring adherence to regulatory and contractual obligations.

What you’ll doClient Relationship Management
Act as a key point of contact for institutional clients, consultants and other stakeholders on servicing and governance matters
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the lifecycle of their investments
Coordinate responses to client enquiries, due diligence requests and information requests
Support client meetings, governance forums and periodic relationship reviews
New Business and Client Onboarding
Support the assessment and implementation of new investment mandates and fund structures
Coordinate governance and approval activities associated with new business opportunities and client onboarding
Monitor onboarding progress, key milestones, risks and dependencies across multiple workstreams
Ensure that legal, regulatory and operational requirements are appropriately addressed before launch
Coordinate stakeholders involved in the implementation of complex investment solutions, including segregated mandates and dedicated funds
Governance and Lifecycle Oversight
Maintain oversight of client-specific requirements, reporting commitments and contractual obligations
Coordinate periodic due diligence reviews and ongoing client governance activities
Oversee significant lifecycle events, including mandate amendments, restructurings, prospectus updates and strategic client changes
Monitor and escalate servicing, operational and regulatory matters where appropriate
Ensure robust record keeping and maintenance of client information throughout the relationship lifecycle
Business Support and Continuous Improvement
Support strategic and regulatory projects that contribute to business growth, operational effectiveness and client service excellence
Develop and maintain procedures, governance documentation and operating guidelines to support a robust control environment
Produce management information and key performance indicators to support oversight and decision-making by senior management
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability and service quality across the client lifecycle
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
Strong experience servicing institutional investors, pension schemes, insurance companies or other professional clients
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience coordinating complex client projects across multiple functions and jurisdictions
Strong understanding of investment management products, institutional client requirements and regulatory considerations
Ability to balance commercial priorities with governance and risk management requirements
Highly organised, proactive and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Collaborative mindset, able to work independently but also as part of a team
