What You’ll Do
Discover’s Business Technology Internship Program offers exciting internship opportunities for highly motivated individuals who are interested in exploring a host of disciplines within Discover. Participants will work on challenging initiatives in a sought after work environment and culture. Individuals selected will be matched to projects across the enterprise, in the many different business areas/disciplines within Discover business units. They will be challenged to exercise and expand their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, working alongside proven leaders on projects and strategic initiatives aligned with Discover's high-priority goals.

How You’ll Do It
-
Interact with teammates, clients, business partners, management and external partners to complete technology projects.

Collaborate on code reviews and process enhancements and assist peers in debugging or troubleshooting.

Increase knowledge of working with coding languages like Java, JavaScript, Python and SQL and technologies/platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Ansible, Datadog, Github, Jenkins, Kafka, Spring/SpringBoot, React, Kubernetes/OCP, Terraform, and more.

Acquire broad business knowledge and experience while working on cross-functional initiatives

Gain industry and organizational knowledge, leadership communication techniques, create a personal brand and build an internal network of career contacts

Leverage agile software development methodologies to define and review business requirements for new services, functions or applications.
Qualifications You’ll Need
Basic Qualifications:

Current enrollment in an accredited 4-year College or University

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer science, Computer engineering, Information technology or related field

A graduation date between December2025 - August 2026

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate ideas into clear priorities

Strong business acumen, knowledge of financial industry, risk management, and business metrics
