Find.co has recently launched a Venture Studio, designed to turn promising ideas into new businesses. The Director of New Ventures will be the architect and orchestrator of this process. This role owns the venture pipeline: organizing and filtering ideas, working with Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EiRs), validating opportunities, and launching MVPs that can scale into standalone ventures.
You will ensure that strong ideas don’t remain stuck in the backlog, but are systematically prioritized, tested, and brought to market. This is a hands-on leadership role that balances strategic oversight with operational discipline.
Responsibilities
- Pipeline Ownership – Maintain and further develop a structured venture funnel (intake, prioritization, governance).
- Entrepreneur Management – Source, vet, and guide EiRs, pairing them with high-potential ideas.
- Governance & Stakeholder Management – Prepare and present venture cases to the senior executive team, ensuring transparent decisions on advancing, pivoting, or shutting down opportunities.
- Venture Criteria – Apply a clear framework for evaluating ideas, determining when to advance, pivot, or discontinue them, and continuously improve this framework based on experience.
- Ideas & MVP Development & Validation – Oversee research, customer discovery, and MVP design with Product, Growth, and Engineering.
- Alignment – Ensure new ventures leverage Find.co’s strengths, assets, and strategic priorities.
- Portfolio Reporting – Track KPIs, generate insights, and communicate progress to senior leadership.
- Team Leadership – Manage a compact New Ventures team (e.g. Product Manager, Growth Marketing, etc.), fostering a culture of speed, experimentation, and accountability.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in venture building, product strategy, corporate innovation, or startup leadership. Proven success in taking ideas from concept to MVP.
- Leadership: Ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams and EiRs, and to communicate effectively with senior leadership.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong business judgment and prioritization skills across multiple opportunities.
- Execution Discipline: Skilled in lean experimentation, rapid validation, and portfolio decision-making.
- Presentation: Comfortable presenting at leadership/board level with clear data-driven recommendations.
- Industry Knowledge: Must have experience in at least two of the following sectors: iGaming, Crypto, or Digital Marketing.
- Mindset: Entrepreneurial, structured, and comfortable with ambiguity while creating clarity for others.
