Description:

The Director of US Treasury Operations oversees all treasury operational functions supporting Marsh's cash management, investment activities, and financial risk management objectives. This position leads a team of four professionals and reports directly to the Assistant Treasurer.

The Director ensures effective execution of treasury policies, maintains strong banking relationships, and drives continuous operational improvements through process optimization and strategic collaboration across the enterprise. This role serves as a key strategic partner in optimizing the company's financial resources and supporting business objectives.

This position is based in New York, NY and is hybrid, with an expectation of working in the office at least three days per week.

We will count on you to:

  • Lead strategic oversight of substantial cash investment portfolios (Corporate and Fiduciary), with responsibility for maximizing returns while maintaining prudent risk management across multiple market conditions.
  • Drive treasury operational transformation and modernization through leadership of Quantum Treasury Management System Phase 2 enhancements, including workflow automation, AI-enabled analytics, and advanced reporting capabilities that increase efficiency and decision-making across the organization.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing treasury operations team, establishing a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and cross-functional collaboration that elevates treasury capabilities across Marsh.
  • Develop and maintain strategic banking partnerships that optimize financial services and support treasury objectives, positioning yourself as a key stakeholder with senior financial services providers and banking executives.
  • Shape comprehensive treasury reporting and financial analytics that inform senior leadership decisions on cash management, investment strategy, and financial risk—directly influencing corporate-level financial planning.
  • Collaborate across Finance, Accounting, IT, and business leadership on enterprise-wide projects that drive operational efficiency and process improvements, expanding your influence beyond treasury operations.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive treasury operations experience.
  • Experience managing corporate and fiduciary investment portfolios, including regulatory portfolio management and fiduciary oversight.
  • Track record of leading treasury system implementations, process improvements, and change management initiatives.

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $115,200 to $230,000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
