The position
As Director, you head-up a team of 6 to 8 direct reports, including two people leaders, and oversee a broader team of 20 to 25 indirect reports.
Your role also involves driving key transformational initiatives from ES' long-term business strategy, developing and executing a harmonised digital vision for the area, all while keeping stakeholders engaged. In addition, you set ambitious strategic goals and translate them into clear, actionable plans that everyone can understand.
Your key responsibilities include:

  • Driving the digital agenda and standardization of core processes, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices
  • Managing and coaching the team, ensuring a high-performing and collaborative work environment, serving as a role-model and never compromising on the Novo Nordisk way
  • Driving performance management through clear expectations and regular communication, focusing on shaping a new digital landscape for external suppliers
  • Providing high-quality support to the business areas in their decision-making processes regarding transformation and digitalization
  • Driving short- and long-term competences-development and engagement across the department
  • Serving as an active participant and team player in further developing ES Business Support together with the rest of the management team


Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we believe you:

  • Hold a masters' degree in Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Demonstrate substantial experience in driving digital organisations and/or digital transformations within complex environments
  • Showcase business understanding in areas such as production, supply chain, external supply, and IT/digital, within pharmaceutical/regulated industries
  • Possess a proven track record in global project management, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Display proficiency in both spoken and written English

About the Department
ES is a part of Novo Nordisk Product Supply. We are responsible for driving external supply to Novo Nordisk manufacturing. We establish long-term strategic partnerships and supplier relations and negotiate agreements that provide efficient supply. We collaborate closely with our many internal and external partners and operate a robust external manufacturing network across the value chain from in-bound materials to finished products.
You will join ES Business Support and head up the Digital & Transformation department, which works to set direction and strategically help transform how ES operates and build the road map for how to leverage digital for improving efficiency and effectiveness use across the area.
ES Business Support is a diverse, international, and motivated team consisting of around 70 people from approx. 12 different countries.
