About the Role


This individual will help lead institutional business development and client coverage efforts across the northeast US, focusing on public, corporate, and nonprofit organizations with approximately $3-20b in assets. The Director will work closely with the Regional Head to develop the team's strategic priorities; and they will work closely with the Client Service Manager, Associate and Analyst to implement those priorities. Working together as one team, they will aim to align Invesco's best capabilities with our clients' most pressing needs.


Responsibilities of the Role

  • Lead business development and client servicing efforts for institutional clients within your coverage territory in collaboration with the territory’s Managing Director, institutional colleagues on Consultant Relations, Defined Contribution, and Global Liquidity sales teams as well as other Invesco business units
  • Proactively build our understanding of each asset owner’s organizational structure, decision-making authority, and investment priorities
  • Execute on sales plans for accounts in your territory by continuously evaluating client needs, designing an organized and efficient approach to relationship management, and providing value-added services
  • Establish and maintain regular communication with asset owners in your territory
  • Coordinate client requests promptly and accurately

Requirements of the Role:

  • 10+ years of experience in institutional client-facing roles with a preference for candidates with existing institutional relationships in the northeast U.S.
  • Must reside in the region (strong preference for NYC) to maintain in-person coverage of clients/prospects across the territory
  • Financial services / investment management experience with knowledge of institutional ecosystem, sponsors, consultants, and competitors
  • Experience raising closed-end funds (ideally real estate or private credit)
  • Team-oriented, open-minded, flexible, willing to listen to other people’s opinions and proactively share your own
  • Desire to mentor Analyst and Associate-level teammates
  • Ability to navigate multiple work streams and manage competing priorities while possessing the awareness to be able to focus on the most important priorities.
  • FINRA Series 7, 63 required
  • CFA and/or CAIA designations a plus

The salary range for this position in New York, NY is $220K - $225K Base/year. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience and location
