The Role

The Director, Talent Management will lead initiatives and implement and maintain programs in the areas of talent management, leadership development, and / or organizational design and effectiveness. Partnering with People Team and line of business leaders and associates, this role will be responsible for significant work efforts contributing to Talent Management’s focus on strengthening TIAA’s leadership pipeline, optimizing organizational structures, and enhancing overall workforce effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Effectively designs, implements, and maintains talent management leadership development, and / or organizational design and effectiveness programs.

  • Leverages change management principles to ensure leader and associate adoption.
  • Translates talent management, leadership development, and / or organizational design and effectiveness strategies into technology requirements and works with People Team and technology partners to ensure effective and user-friendly technology solutions.
  • Analyzes programs and processes to understand key trends and provides recommendations on program and process improvement.
  • Defines consistent and relevant talent management and organization development success criteria, metrics and reporting dashboards to ensure program efficiency, effectiveness and ROI/value and identify enterprise gaps.
  • Reviews maintains talent management leadership development, and / or organizational design and effectiveness systems used by the organization to ensure their accuracy and relevance.
  • Manages and monitors program / process costs and success to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Reports on adoption and performance of talent management leadership development, and / or organizational design efforts to senior leadership.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

Work Experience

  • 5+ Years Required; 7+ Years Preferred

  • 5 years experience in talent management, org design, org effectiveness, human resources, corporate strategy or consulting

Base Pay Range: $120,000/yr. - $165,000/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
