This position is a hybrid role based at our Denver Headquarters, requiring three days a week in the office (Tuesday through Thursday)

The Payor Partnerships team manages an $8B revenue portfolio and a high-growth national value-based care business that encompasses more than $5B of medical spend. Within the Payor Partnerships team, the Strategy function sets the long-term vision of our team and drives disruptive thinking on how we should approach our portfolio of payor relationships and contract negotiations. Spanning negotiating strategy, product strategy, marketing strategy, and broader enterprise strategy, we drive high-priority initiatives from concept to execution. We work at the forefront of a very dynamic healthcare business and policy landscape.

The Payor Partnerships team has extensive experience in strategy consulting, managed care, finance, and negotiations. We operate in a fast-paced environment with a shared focus on delivering results, thinking creatively, supporting each other’s growth, and having fun. • Identifying disruptive opportunities to ensure that our annual rate increases exceed inflation and cost trends
  • Refining our value proposition to payors across our dialysis and value-based kidney care management businesses

Responsibilities:

  • Shape the direction of the strategy function, translating complex, ambiguous problems into actionable frameworks
  • Exercise end-to-end ownership for a portfolio of strategic work, including planning, execution, and delivery
  • Manage project teams of managers and analysts; coach, mentor, and train more junior members of our team
  • Create high-quality presentations with clear strategic recommendations for senior leaders, including C-suite executives
  • Independently structure and lead analytics to support strategic decision-making
  • Work cross-functionally with leaders across lanes to deliver on goals, exerting influence without formal authority
  • Proactively align resources with priorities and consistently remove barriers to team and project success

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience, with a track record of progressive responsibility
  • Experience in healthcare strategy within a top-tier consulting firm or provider, payor, or healthcare services organization
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to bring structure to complex, ambiguous questions, demonstrating end-to-end ownership of workstreams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to deliver clear recommendations and influence decision-makers at all levels
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
  • High degree of ownership, accountability, and a “get stuff done” mindset
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working across functions and teams to drive results
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, feedback-rich environment with shifting priorities
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to determine appropriate level of analytical rigor needed to answer a strategic question
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo, introducing fresh perspectives, and participating in productive debate
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred, but not required
