We are seeking a Director of Strategy & Commercial Partnerships who is a strategic "hunter"—someone who understands that in the energy sector, data isn't just information; it’s a competitive advantage.


The Opportunity: Drive High-Stakes Market Expansion

As Director of Strategy & Commercial Partnerships, you will play a vital role in educating potential subscribers on how the EnerKnol platform adds critical value to their business operations. You won’t just be selling software; you will be helping utilities, law firms, and developers solve their most critical data problems. You will have the autonomy to build and execute your own go-to-market strategy, navigating high-stakes deals with complex stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Prospecting: Identify and close high-value partnerships with Investor-Owned Utilities (IOUs), energy developers, consultancies, and law firms.

  • Solution Mapping: Discover prospective clients' pain points, showcase how the EnerKnol Platform eliminates them, and clearly summarize the business impact.

  • Pipeline Mastery: Independently grow the new business pipeline, provide tailored product demonstrations, and convert trialists into key accounts.

  • Complex Deal Management: Navigate multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving Regulatory, Engineering, and Procurement departments.

  • Market Leadership: Stay ahead of energy trends, such as grid modernization, and orchestrate workshops to educate customers on platform value.


The Ideal Profile: The Strategic Navigator

We value intellectual horsepower and the ability to synthesize complex information over a static list of contacts. We are looking for an autonomous professional who can rapidly master the "language of regulation" to drive commercial success.

  • Experience: 5+ years of B2B sales experience, with at least 4 years directly selling to or working within the energy sector.

  • Market Fluency: A deep understanding of energy market structures, utility business models, or energy data standards.

  • Strategic IQ: Proven ability to navigate high-stakes deals with developers and utilities who require the platform as a vital part of their workflow.

  • Network Building: While an existing rolodex in the energy and utility space is highly preferred, we prioritize the demonstrated ability to build a network and gain access to key decision-makers independently.

  • Collaborative Leadership: Ability to play a leadership role as the company scales, contributing to a fun and collaborative team culture.

Skills Required
