The Director of Strategic Planning and Institutional Development at the University of Kalba is responsible for leading and managing the institution's strategic planning processes, ensuring alignment with the university's mission and goals. This role is crucial in driving organizational growth, enhancing institutional effectiveness, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning :
- Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with UKB’s mission and strategic goals.
- Oversee budget preparation, financial planning, and analysis for all university departments.
- Ensure fiscal responsibility and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Manage the university's assets, investments, and debt strategies.
Institutional Development :
- Direct and coordinate administrative operations, including human resources, facilities management, and procurement.
- Implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee the maintenance and development of campus infrastructure and facilities.
Performance Management :
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for all departments.
- Produce annual strategic planning progress reports and modify plans as necessary.
Collaboration and Communication :
- Liaise with government entities, donor partners, and other stakeholders to maintain strong support for the university.
- Engage with faculty, staff, and administration to address challenges and provide functional expertise.
Leadership and Mentoring :
- Provide leadership and support for the university's strategic and institutional policy processes.
- Oversee coaching and mentoring of subordinates and university staff in relation to policy and planning processes.
- Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a relevant field such as Education, Business Administration, or Strategic Management.
- Extensive experience in strategic planning and institutional development, preferably in higher education.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
Skills Required
- Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Education, Business Administration, Strategic Management, or related field
- Extensive experience in strategic planning and institutional development
